New Delhi: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has released important counselling updates for candidates seeking admission to its BSc Nursing, BSc Allied & Health Care, and MSc Nursing programmes for the August 2026 academic session. Eligible candidates can now participate in the online choice-filling process for undergraduate nursing programmes, while the institute has also announced the revised counselling schedule for MSc Nursing admissions.

Candidates are advised to complete all counselling formalities within the prescribed deadlines through the official AIIMS counselling portal.

AIIMS BSc Nursing 2026 Choice Filling Underway

According to the official notification issued on July 30, candidates eligible for BSc (Hons.) Nursing and BSc Allied & Health Care admissions can submit their institute and course preferences online until August 6, 2026.

The choice-filling process will apply to all counselling rounds except the Open Round, if conducted.

Candidates can access the counselling portal through the "MyPage" section using the login credentials created during the entrance examination application process.

Choices Will Be Carried Forward to Subsequent Rounds

AIIMS has clarified that candidates will not be required to submit fresh choices for the second round of counselling. The choices filled during the first round will automatically be considered for subsequent rounds of seat allotment unless otherwise notified.

The institute has not yet announced the dates for the first-round seat allotment or reporting for BSc Nursing and Allied Health Care admissions.

AIIMS MSc Nursing 2026 Counselling Schedule Released

In a separate notification issued on July 31, AIIMS released the final revised counselling schedule for MSc Nursing admissions.

As per the revised timetable, the Round 1 seat allotment result will be announced on August 6, 2026. Candidates who are allotted seats must complete online acceptance, document verification, reporting at the allotted institute, and payment of the security deposit by August 12, 2026.

Round 2 Admissions and Reporting Guidelines

AIIMS will publish the list of vacant seats on August 19, followed by the declaration of the Round 2 seat allotment result on the same day.

Candidates allotted seats in the second round must complete online acceptance, reporting, document submission, and security deposit payment by August 25, 2026.

The institute has informed candidates that reporting at the allotted AIIMS institute will be allowed Monday to Friday until 4:00 PM, while reporting on Saturdays will be permitted only until 12:00 Noon.

No Fresh Choice Filling for MSc Nursing Round 2

AIIMS has also clarified that fresh choice filling or modification of choices will not be allowed before the second round of MSc Nursing counselling. The preferences submitted during the first round will be considered for subsequent rounds as per the counselling process.
