Patna: The Bihar Education Department has proposed 32,388 teaching vacancies for the fourth phase of the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE 4). The proposal, submitted to the commission, is expected to pave the way for the release of the much-awaited TRE 4 recruitment notification. 

The announcement was made by Samrat Choudhary through a post on X, where he reaffirmed the Bihar government's commitment to providing maximum employment opportunities for the state's youth.

"Our government remains continuously committed to providing maximum employment opportunities to the youth and taking Bihar's education system to new heights," he said.

The announcement has raised hopes among thousands of candidates who have been waiting for the next phase of teacher recruitment in Bihar. 

BPSC TRE 4 Vacancy Details

The Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE) is conducted to recruit permanent teachers for government schools at the primary, middle, secondary, and senior secondary levels across Bihar.

According to the requisition sent to the BPSC, the proposed vacancies are distributed as follows:

The largest share of vacancies has been proposed for Classes 11–12, with 16,101 teaching posts, followed by 8,563 vacancies for Classes 6–8.

More Vacancies Than Previous Recruitment Drive

The proposed 32,388 vacancies are significantly higher than the previous BPSC TRE recruitment drive, which offered approximately 26,000–27,000 teaching posts. The increase is expected to provide more opportunities for candidates preparing for government teaching jobs in Bihar.

Who Can Apply for BPSC TRE 4?

The eligibility criteria for BPSC TRE 4 will be announced in the official notification. Candidates are advised to keep their educational certificates, teacher eligibility qualifications, and other required documents ready while continuing their exam preparation.

BPSC TRE 4 Notification Still Awaited

Despite the submission of vacancies, the official BPSC TRE 4 notification has not yet been released.

Earlier in June, Bihar Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari had announced that the notification would likely be issued in July 2026. However, no official update has been released by the Bihar Public Service Commission so far.

The minister had advised aspirants to continue their preparations and assured them that the recruitment notification would be published soon.

Aspirants Express Concern Over Delay

The delay in releasing the BPSC TRE 4 notification has led to growing concerns among teacher recruitment aspirants.

In May 2026, several candidates staged protests demanding the immediate release of the notification. They alleged that repeated delays have created uncertainty regarding the recruitment process and affected their career planning.

Many aspirants also highlighted that the lengthy selection process requires them to invest significant time, effort, and financial resources while waiting for recruitment to begin.

What Candidates Should Expect

With the Bihar Education Department forwarding the proposal for over 32,000 teaching posts, candidates are now eagerly awaiting the official BPSC TRE 4 notification. Once released, the notification will provide details on eligibility, application dates, examination schedule, selection process, and subject-wise vacancies. The recruitment drive is expected to offer one of the largest government teaching employment opportunities in Bihar this year.
