News Story

New Delhi: The University of Delhi (DU) will release the first CSAS UG Seat Allotment List 2026 on July 16, marking a key stage in the undergraduate admission process. Candidates who registered through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS-UG) 2026 will be able to check their allotted college and programme through the official CSAS admission portal

According to the University of Delhi, more than 2.73 lakh candidates registered for DU UG Admissions 2026, while over 2.06 lakh applicants completed their programme and college preference submission through the CSAS portal.

BCom (Hons) and BA Continue to Lead

BCom (Hons) has once again emerged as the most preferred undergraduate programme, while various BA and BA (Hons.) courses continue to attract a large number of applicants. The trend highlights the growing demand for commerce and humanities programmes across Delhi University's affiliated colleges.

Admission to all undergraduate programmes is being conducted based on CUET UG 2026 scores, programme-specific eligibility, reservation norms, and candidates' submitted preferences through the CSAS portal.

What Happens After the First Allotment?

Candidates who are allotted a seat in the first round must accept the allocated seat within the prescribed deadline through the CSAS portal. After document verification by the respective college, students will need to pay the admission fee to confirm their admission. Those seeking a better preference may choose the 'Upgrade' option in subsequent rounds, subject to seat availability.
