New Delhi: Galgotias University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Felix Hospital to enhance practical healthcare education and provide students with hands-on clinical training. The collaboration aims to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world medical practice for students pursuing nursing and allied health science programmes.

The partnership will primarily benefit students from the School of Allied Health Sciences and the School of Nursing at Galgotias University. Felix Hospital, which operates two multispecialty hospitals in Greater Noida with a combined capacity of 400 beds, will serve as the clinical training partner.

Practical Clinical Exposure for Students

Under the collaboration, students will gain first-hand experience in hospital operations, patient care, clinical procedures, and healthcare safety protocols. The initiative is expected to strengthen practical learning by allowing students to train in a real hospital environment under the guidance of experienced healthcare professionals.

The programme will particularly support students enrolled in the four-year B.Sc. Nursing course, which is recognised by the Indian Nursing Council (INC). Students will transition from simulation-based training on campus to practical clinical exposure at Felix Hospital.

Allied Health Science Students to Benefit

The partnership will also provide internship and training opportunities for students from various allied health disciplines, including:

• Physiotherapy

• Cardiovascular Therapy

• Medical Laboratory Sciences

• Optometry

• Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology

These students will receive practical exposure to modern healthcare practices while working alongside doctors, nurses, and medical technologists.

Speaking on the collaboration, Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, CEO of Galgotias University, said that classroom education should be closely connected with the realities of patient care. He added that practical hospital training under experienced professionals would help students develop stronger clinical knowledge and job-ready skills.

Continued Focus on Healthcare Development

The partnership aligns with Galgotias University's ongoing efforts to strengthen healthcare education and community services. Recently, the university upgraded the Community Health Centre at Dadha, Greater Noida, in collaboration with the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Gautam Buddha Nagar. The initiative focused on improving the physiotherapy and rehabilitation unit by installing modern therapy equipment.

The collaboration between Galgotias University and Felix Hospital is expected to provide students with valuable clinical experience, improve employability, and prepare future healthcare professionals to meet the evolving demands of the medical sector.
