The newly introduced courses are designed to provide learners with practical knowledge that can be useful in both personal and professional settings. The initiative also seeks to promote greater understanding of women’s rights, safety, leadership and participation in society and the workplace.
Under the partnership, IGNOU and NCW have introduced the following three courses:
POSH – Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace
Women’s Leadership, Capacity Building & Workplace Behaviour
Gender Sensitisation: Society and Culture
The POSH course will help learners understand the prevention of sexual harassment at the workplace and the importance of maintaining safe and respectful professional environments. The course is intended to improve awareness of workplace safety and encourage a culture of dignity and respect.
The Women’s Leadership, Capacity Building & Workplace Behaviour course will focus on leadership skills, capacity building, professional development and appropriate workplace behaviour.
The course aims to support women in strengthening their participation and leadership in professional spaces while helping learners understand important aspects of workplace conduct and development.
The Gender Sensitisation: Society and Culture course will examine gender-related issues from social and cultural perspectives. It will help learners develop a better understanding of gender equality, social attitudes and concerns related to gender in society.
The partnership between IGNOU and NCW will cover broader areas related to legal and constitutional awareness, women’s empowerment, digital and cyber safety, leadership development, research and gender sensitisation.
Through the new micro-credential courses, the institutions aim to provide practical learning opportunities while increasing awareness about women’s rights, workplace safety and participation in society.
The initiative aims to strengthen capacity building by improving learners’ understanding of women’s rights, workplace safety, gender equality and leadership.
