New Delhi: The Department of School Education and Literacy under the Ministry of Education has invited fresh and renewal applications for the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) 2026-27. Eligible students can submit their applications through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) by August 31, 2026.

The deadline of August 31 applies to both fresh and renewal applications. Students have been advised to complete the application process well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues or difficulties during submission.

NMMSS Scholarship 2026-27: Key Change

What is the NMMSS Scholarship?

How to Apply for NMMSS Scholarship 2026-27

Eligible students can apply for the NMMSS Scholarship through the National Scholarship Portal by following these steps:

  1. Visit the official National Scholarship Portal.

  2. Click on the "New Registration" option on the homepage.

  3. Complete the registration process using the required details.

  4. Log in using the registered credentials.

  5. Select the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS).

  6. Fill in the scholarship application form with the required details.

  7. Upload the necessary documents in the prescribed format.

  8. Carefully review all information entered in the application form.

NMMSS Application Verification Process
