The State Bank of India (SBI) is set to release the results of the
Probationary Officer (PO) Prelims 2025 exam soon on its official website, sbi.co.in.
The preliminary test, held on August 4 and 5, witnessed a massive turnout of
more than six lakh aspirants competing for just 541 posts.
The exam, conducted out of 100 marks, tested
candidates on English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. With
negative marking of one-fourth marks for every wrong answer, the test served as
a tough screening stage to shortlist candidates for the highly competitive
Mains round.
Once declared, candidates can access their
results by visiting the ‘Careers’ section of the SBI website, selecting the
recruitment notification for PO 2025, and downloading the result PDF.
Candidates who find their roll number under the ‘Qualified’ list will be
eligible to appear for the Mains examination.
The SBI PO selection process involves three
stages—Prelims, Mains, and Interview. The final stage includes a psychometric
test and group exercises. Only about ten times the number of vacancies will
move forward to the Mains exam, expected to be scheduled in September.
This year, SBI received approximately 6.58 lakh applications for just 541 vacancies, underscoring the fierce competition and prestige associated with securing a PO post in the country’s largest public sector bank.
