Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta recently announced the selection of 87
students for the prestigious Viksit Delhi CM Internship
Programme, which begins Monday.
The three-month initiative will allow
undergraduate and postgraduate students to work directly with the Delhi
government, gaining firsthand exposure to policymaking and administration. Each
participant will receive a stipend of ₹20,000 per month.
“This year, nearly 9,000 students applied, and
only 87 made it through a rigorous, transparent selection process,” Gupta said.
“They will contribute to the government’s work over the next three months while
building invaluable experience.”
The programme, aimed at fostering youth engagement in governance, is expected to serve as a launchpad for future leaders while strengthening the government’s connect with young minds.
