In a move to foster future business leaders, the Adani Group on September 23 announced a ₹1.62 crore scholarship program for students of IIM Calcutta. The initiative, part of the Adani Accelerated Leadership Program (AALP), will support six MBA students annually, with funds disbursed over two years in two tranches of ₹81 lakh each, contingent on academic performance.

Subhashrie R Venkatraj, Senior VP of AALP Intake at Adani Group, described the program as a strategic effort to build an internal talent pool, calling it “the key to success.” The scholarship, launched following a Memorandum of Understanding with IIM Calcutta, underscores the conglomerate’s commitment to bridging the gap between academia and industry.

Promoter and Executive Director Sagar Adani emphasized the group’s broader vision, stating the initiative reflects its role to “facilitate talent building, resulting in organization building.”
