The National Testing Agency (NTA) will begin online registrations for the
Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 in October, with the test scheduled
to be held in two sessions — January and April 2026.
In its advisory issued on September 29, the NTA
has urged aspirants to update and validate key documents, including Aadhaar
cards, category certificates (EWS, SC, ST, OBC-NCL), and UDID cards for persons
with disabilities, before submitting applications. Officials stressed that
discrepancies in personal details or expired certificates could lead to
rejection at later stages of the admission process.
The agency specifically highlighted that
Aadhaar details such as name, date of birth (as per Class 10 records),
photograph, address, and father’s name must be accurate. Candidates with
disabilities must also ensure their UDID certificates are valid and renewed,
while those applying under reserved categories should confirm their
certificates meet current norms.
Aspiring candidates have been advised to
regularly check the NTA’s official website (nta.ac.in) and the JEE Main portal
(jeemain.nta.nic.in) for detailed instructions, updates, and exam-related
notices.
In 2025, the JEE Main was conducted in January (22–30) and April (2–8), with registrations commencing on January 2. A similar schedule is expected for 2026.
