Rishika Kukreja from Karnal, Haryana, has achieved an impressive all-India
rank (AIR) of 15 in the UPSC Indian Statistical Service (ISS) examination 2025,
marking a milestone in her academic journey.
After getting married in 2021, Kukreja briefly
paused her studies but remained steadfast in her pursuit of excellence. Despite
facing setbacks in her first three attempts, her perseverance paid off on the
fourth try, bringing pride to her family and her home state.
Speaking about her journey, Kukreja advised
aspirants to remain unwavering in the face of challenges. “Set your goals
clearly and move forward with determination. Stay surrounded by people who
motivate you. Hard work, spirituality, exercise, meditation, and even a good
motivational song can keep you focused and positive on your journey,” she told a national daily
She added, “The process takes time and
patience, but with my family’s support, everything became possible.”
Kukreja emphasizes the importance of
discipline, persistence, and holistic well-being—blending exercise, meditation,
and spiritual engagement—as key factors in sustaining motivation through the
UPSC journey.
The Indian Statistical Service plays a
critical role in the nation’s policymaking framework, analyzing data for
government plans and initiatives, suggesting improvements, and guiding policy
implementation.
The UPSC announced the final ISS results on
October 1, 2025. The written examination took place from June 20–22, followed
by interviews in September. Kashish Kasana topped the exam, with Akash Kumar
Sharma securing second place and Subhendu Ghosh in third.
Applicants’ scores will be published on the UPSC website within 15 days, while the results of 12 candidates remain tentative pending document verification.
