The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi will host an online open
house on October 26 at 6 pm for its newly launched BTech in Design programme,
aimed at students seeking admission in 2026. The event will provide prospective
candidates with detailed insights into the four-year course, which admits 20
students annually.
Announcing the initiative, IIT Delhi tweeted,
“Department of Design, IIT Delhi, to organise an online Open House on 26th
October 2025 for students aspiring to join its newly launched BTech in Design
programme in 2026.”
Admissions to the programme will be based on
performance in either the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) or the Undergraduate
Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED).
The BTech in Design is crafted for students with a creative mindset and empathetic thinking, focusing on understanding complex socio-technical systems and designing innovative solutions.
The curriculum blends design thinking, research methodology, communication,
presentation skills, and team collaboration, with a strong emphasis on
practical, technology-driven learning. Students must complete 155 credits over
four years to graduate.
Interested candidates can register for the open house through a Google form available on IIT Delhi’s official platforms before the event.
