The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the registration deadline for the CSIR UGC NET December 2025 exam to October 27, offering candidates a last-minute opportunity to apply. Earlier, registrations were set to close on October 24.

Applicants can complete the registration process via the official website csirnet.nta.nic.in. Fee payment must be made by October 28, and candidates can make corrections to their application between October 30 and November 1.

The CSIR UGC NET December 2025 exam is scheduled for December 18, 2025, and will be conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format across two shifts: 9 AM to 12 PM and 3 PM to 6 PM. The test will be available in both Hindi and English, with the English version considered final in case of discrepancies.

Application Fees:

·        General: ₹1,150

·        EWS/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): ₹600

·        SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender: ₹300

Payments can be made via net banking, debit/credit card, or UPI. Candidates who miss the deadline can still pay the fee until October 28, 11:50 PM.

The CSIR UGC NET determines eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship/Assistant Professorship in science subjects under CSIR and UGC.
