The Delhi government recently unveiled the “School Web App”, a unified digital platform designed to overhaul how students, teachers and parents access and manage school-related information.

Positioned as a key step toward a more transparent and technology-driven education system, the initiative seeks to streamline academic and administrative processes across government schools.

Education Minister Ashish Sood, speaking at the launch, said the platform reflects Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s broader vision of Digital India and Viksit Bharat 2047. He stressed that digitisation would help students manage their time better, reduce teachers’ administrative burden, and ultimately improve learning outcomes.

The app will host essential academic information — including timetables, homework, class notes, attendance records and exam results — all accessible remotely. Officials said this seamless access will help maintain consistent communication between schools and families, ensuring parents stay closely informed about their child’s academic progress.

Sood noted that the platform’s design supports the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, promoting skill-based learning and integrating co-curricular initiatives such as Fit India. By placing information directly into the hands of students, he said, the system aims to foster innovation, entrepreneurial thinking and greater ownership of their learning journey.

“Now, time will not be wasted in searching for information. Instead, information will reach the students directly. This is the true essence of digital empowerment,” Sood said.

Thanking developers, teachers and administrators involved in creating the platform, he added that the app marks an important milestone for Delhi’s schools. “When determination is strong, the results are equally powerful. This app will prove to be a milestone towards a brighter future for the children of Delhi.”
