The Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) has postponed two papers of the
Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive (Mains) Examination 2022 after a
question paper mix-up at an Imphal examination centre triggered confusion among
candidates.
The incident occurred during the morning session
when aspirants scheduled to attempt General Studies Paper-III were mistakenly
handed the question paper for General Studies Paper-IV. The error was detected
shortly after the exam began, compelling the Commission to halt proceedings and
assess the situation.
To maintain parity for all candidates across
centres in Imphal and Guwahati, MPSC cancelled both GS Paper-III and GS
Paper-IV for the day. The mains examination, which commenced on November 7 and
was earlier slated to conclude on Sunday, will now extend further.
Officials confirmed that the two postponed papers have been rescheduled for November 22, with fresh logistical arrangements underway. The Commission has assured that revised procedures are being implemented to prevent any recurrence and to ensure a fair and transparent test environment for all candidates.
