News Story

The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has announced the Class 12 (HSSC) Result 2026, recording a strong overall pass percentage of 92.9%, marking a notable rise from 90.6% in 2025.

Declared at an official press conference, the results reflect consistent academic performance across streams, with the Science stream emerging as the top performer at 93.9%.

A total of 17,283 students appeared for the examinations this year, out of which 16,067 successfully passed. The qualified candidates include 7,538 boys and 8,529 girls, underlining a steady participation and success rate across genders. Notably, 850 divyang students also cleared the examination, highlighting inclusive academic progress.

Results now live, multiple access options available

Students from Science, Arts, Commerce, and Vocational streams can now access their results via the official website. To check scores, candidates must enter their seat number, school index number, and registration index, along with their first name in some cases.

Given the surge in traffic following the announcement, the website may experience delays, and students are advised to remain patient while accessing their scorecards.

In addition to the online portal, the board has enabled an SMS facility for quick access. Students can send:

The result will be delivered directly to the candidate’s mobile phone with subject-wise marks.

Exams conducted smoothly, results released ahead of schedule

The HSSC examinations were conducted between February 10 and February 27, 2026, while practicals were held earlier in January. Vocational exams ran from February 11 to February 23.

In a significant shift, the board declared results earlier than last year’s March 27 timeline, indicating a more streamlined evaluation process and faster turnaround.

What lies ahead for students

Students dissatisfied with their scores will have the option to apply for re-evaluation or rechecking, as per board guidelines. Those who could not clear one or more subjects will be eligible for supplementary examinations.

For successful candidates, the focus now shifts to undergraduate admissions, entrance tests, and scholarship opportunities, with the early declaration offering a crucial advantage in planning next academic steps.

The board is expected to release detailed schedules for re-evaluation and supplementary exams shortly on its official website.
