The Bihar School Examination Board
(BSEB), Patna, is set to announce the Class 10 (matric) examination results for
2026 March 29 at 1:15 pm, bringing an end to the wait for over 15 lakh students
across the state.
Candidates who appeared for the exams can check
their results on the official websites — result.biharboardonline.org and
matricbiharboard.com — once the results are released. The scorecards will also
be accessible through the IE Education portal using login credentials.
This year, the BSEB conducted the Matric
examinations in February across 1,699 centres, with a total of 15,12,687
students appearing. Of these, 7,85,722 were girls and 7,26,961 were boys,
reflecting a massive participation in one of the country’s largest school-level
examinations.
Students will be able to download their
provisional marksheets online, which will detail subject-wise scores. However,
the board has clarified that these digital scorecards are provisional in
nature. Candidates must collect their official mark sheets from their
respective schools at a later stage.
Earlier, the board had released the
provisional answer key for objective-type questions on March 7, allowing
students to raise objections until 5 pm on March 13, 2026 — a step aimed at
ensuring transparency in evaluation.
Looking at past trends, the BSEB has
consistently declared results in late March. In 2025, results were announced on
March 29 with an overall pass percentage of 82.11%. In 2024 and 2023, results
were declared on March 31, with pass percentages of 81.04% and over 81%,
respectively. In 2022, the pass percentage stood at 79.88%, also with results
announced on March 31.
With results scheduled for release today, anticipation remains high as lakhs of students await their performance outcomes in a crucial academic milestone.
