The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University
(IP University) has introduced a new four-year Bachelor of Management Studies
(BMS) programme for the 2026–27 academic session, expanding its academic
portfolio in response to growing demand for management education.
The newly launched programme will offer 60 seats
and will be conducted at the Indian Institute of
Packaging, an affiliated institute of the university located in
Patparganj.
Admissions to the BMS course will be primarily
based on the university’s Common Entrance Test (CET), followed by scores from
the Common University Entrance Test
(CUET-UG). The university reiterated that CUET scores will serve as a secondary
admission channel, with unfilled CET seats to be allocated based on CUET merit.
To be eligible, candidates must have passed
Class 12 with at least 50% marks, along with English as a compulsory subject.
University officials said the decision to
introduce the programme stems from strong market demand, with several
institutions across India already offering similar courses in management
studies.
IP University had earlier commenced its
admission process for the 2026–27 academic session on January 28, releasing
detailed brochures for undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programmes. The
university is offering over 43,000 seats across more than 130 affiliated
colleges and its constituent schools.
In a significant academic expansion, the university has introduced 24 new courses this year. These include emerging and interdisciplinary programmes such as BMS, lateral entry into B.S. (Packaging Technology), MTech in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, MA in Mass Communication (Weekend), Bachelor of Physiotherapy, BTech in Industrial Chemistry, BSc in Clinical Psychology, and specialised BTech programmes in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, among others.
