The Haryana Board of School Education has initiated preparations for the declaration of Class 10 and 12 results 2026, with answer sheet evaluation set to commence in early April under a closely monitored system to ensure accuracy and fairness.
Board Chairman Dr Pawan Kumar announced that evaluation for Secondary (Class 10) exams will begin on April 2 across 75 centres spread over 22 districts. Around 6,969 teachers have been assigned to the process, which will continue till April 24.
For Senior Secondary (Class 12), the evaluation will start a day later on April 3 and conclude by April 28. A total of 5,009 examiners will assess answer sheets at 52 designated centres.
“The result of Senior Secondary (academic/open school) examinations will be declared by the second week of May, after which the Secondary results will be announced,” Kumar confirmed.
To maintain strict quality control, the board has introduced a layered evaluation mechanism. On the first day, examiners will assess 15 answer sheets, increasing to 30 copies per day thereafter.
Additionally, 10% of evaluated answer sheets will undergo random scrutiny by chief examiners to ensure consistency and accuracy.
The Haryana Board examinations this year commenced on February 25. While Class 12 exams concluded on March 1, Class 10 exams ended on March 20.
Earlier, the board had reiterated its commitment to aligning with the National Education Policy, aiming to make the education system more modern, flexible and inclusive.
Emphasis is being laid on integrating technical and skill-based learning to enhance students’ future readiness.
In a significant reform, the board is also preparing to introduce on-screen marking from the 2026–27 academic session. The move is expected to enhance transparency in evaluation and expedite the result declaration process.
