Jamia Millia Islamia has extended the last date for submission of applications for admissions to various programmes for the 2026–27 academic session. 

Candidates can now apply online till April 10, 2026, offering relief to aspirants seeking additional time to complete the process.

The extension covers a wide spectrum of courses, including undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), diploma, postgraduate diploma, advanced diploma and certificate programmes offered by the university.

According to an official notification, the decision was taken following repeated requests from applicants. “Due to several requests received from applicants, the last date to apply for admission in various programmes of JMI is extended till April 10, 2026,” the university stated.

Aspirants must complete their applications through the official admission portal — admission.jmi.ac.in — within the revised deadline. The university has made it clear that no applications will be accepted beyond the stipulated date.

Applicants are required to register on the portal, fill in personal and academic details, upload necessary documents, and pay the prescribed application fee.

Admissions at JMI are conducted through a combination of entrance tests and merit-based selection, depending on the programme.

Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official website for updates regarding entrance examinations, admit cards, and further admission procedures.
