KEAM 2026: Relief for Gulf candidates as Kerala CEE allows one-time centre change

News Story

In a major relief for candidates based in the Gulf, the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, has allowed a one-time change of exam centres for those appearing in the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) 2026 entrance examination.

The move comes amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East, which have disrupted travel plans and left several students uncertain about reaching their allotted test centres.

Acknowledging these challenges, the CEE introduced a special facility to ensure that no candidate is deprived of the opportunity to sit for the examination due to circumstances beyond their control.

The decision particularly benefits candidates who had earlier opted for the UAE (Sharjah) centre but are currently in Kerala. Such students can now switch to a centre within the state.

Similarly, candidates who had selected centres in Kerala but are presently in the Gulf region can opt for centres there. Those allotted the UAE centre also have the option to shift to Kuwait or Bahrain.

However, the CEE has made it clear that the deadline for requesting a centre change is final and will not be extended under any circumstances.

Candidates have been urged to complete the process within the stipulated timeframe to avoid last-minute issues.

Meanwhile, the revision process has led to a delay in the release of KEAM 2026 admit cards. Initially scheduled for April 1, the hall tickets will now be issued on April 8. Candidates will be able to download them from the official website once released.

How to change the exam centre

Candidates can update their exam centre by visiting the official CEE website and accessing the KEAM 2026 application portal.

After logging in using their application number and password, they must select the “Change Centre” option, choose their preferred location, and submit the request.

Students are advised to regularly check the official website for updates regarding admit cards and further notifications related to the examination.
