The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education
has announced the 2026 supplementary examination schedule for Classes 10 and
12, opening the application window from April 15 and setting exams in motion
from early May. The move offers thousands of students a vital opportunity to
improve their results without losing an academic year.
According to Board Secretary Gajendra Singh Rathore, applications for both
regular and private candidates will be accepted from April 15 to April 22.
Students missing this initial window can still apply between April 23 and April
27 by paying a late fee. An additional provision allows submissions with an
extraordinary late fee from April 28 until the commencement of examinations,
ensuring wider access.
The board has scheduled practical examinations
to begin on May 7, followed by theory papers from May 14. The staggered
timeline is designed to give students adequate preparation time while enabling
smooth coordination across examination centres.
The supplementary exams will see significant
participation, particularly in Class 10, where 27,678 students are set to
appear. Another 402 candidates will take the Praveshika examination. In Class
12, the Arts stream accounts for the highest number of candidates at 5,970,
followed by Science with 2,009 and Commerce with 121 students. Additionally, 70
candidates are registered for the Varishtha Upadhyay examination.
The board’s flexible application framework and clearly defined schedule aim to maximise participation, giving students a structured and accessible pathway to improve their academic standing.
