News Story

The wait is set to end for lakhs of students as the Assam Class 10 board results will be declared on April 10 at 10 am, marking a crucial academic milestone for candidates across the state.

The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) will announce the HSLC Result 2026 online, enabling students to access their scorecards through official websites and digital platforms. Candidates who appeared for the examinations can check their results on sebaonline.org, resultsassam.nic.in, and asseb.in.

In a notable shift, the board is releasing results earlier than usual this year to facilitate a smoother transition into the next academic cycle, including admissions and other state-level academic processes.

To manage the surge in traffic on result day, SEBA has enabled multiple access points. Apart from official websites, students can also retrieve their results via the DigiLocker and UMANG apps, ensuring quicker and more convenient access.

Students must keep their roll numbers and admit cards ready to log in and download their provisional marksheets.

How to check Assam HSLC Result 2026

The online marksheet will be provisional, with original certificates to be distributed later through respective schools.

Exam overview and result details

The HSLC examinations were conducted from February 10 to February 27, 2026, across multiple centres in Assam, with over 4 lakh students appearing this year.

The result will include key details such as subject-wise marks, total score, division or grade, and qualifying status. SEBA is also expected to release comprehensive performance data, including overall pass %, gender-wise results, district-wise statistics, and the list of toppers.

Re-evaluation and next steps

Students dissatisfied with their scores will be allowed to apply for re-evaluation or rechecking within a stipulated window after the results are declared.

Those who fail in one or more subjects can appear for compartment examinations, offering a second chance to clear the exam without losing an academic year.

Successful candidates can move on to Class 11 and choose streams such as Science, Commerce, or Arts based on their performance and career goals.

Advisory for students

Students are advised to remain calm if websites slow down due to heavy traffic immediately after the result announcement. Verifying details on the marksheet is crucial, and any discrepancies should be promptly reported to school authorities or SEBA officials for correction.
