Assam HSLC result 2026 out: Pass rate at 65.62%, Jyotirmay Das tops Class 10 board exams

The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) has declared the Class 10 High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination 2026 results, recording an overall pass percentage of 65.62%, with Jyotirmay Das emerging as the state topper.

The results are now available on the official portals — sebaonline.org, asseb.in, and resultsassam.nic.in.

A total of 4,38,564 candidates registered for the examination, of whom 4,29,249 appeared. Out of these, 2,81,701 students passed, reflecting the overall success rate.

Students can access their scores by visiting the official websites and clicking on the ‘HSLC Result 2026’ link. After entering roll numbers and login credentials, results can be viewed and downloaded for future reference.

Passing criteria

To qualify, candidates must secure at least 30% marks in each subject as well as in aggregate. Those failing to meet this benchmark must appear for compartment exams.

Exam schedule and past trends

The HSLC 2026 exams were conducted from February 10 to February 27, with theory papers held in two shifts — 9 am to 12 noon and 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm — and a duration of three hours per paper.

Last year, the pass percentage stood at 63.98%, while in 2024, it was significantly higher at 75.7%, indicating fluctuating performance trends over the years.
