In a significant relief for aspirants, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IP University) has extended the deadline for submitting online applications to its national-level test-based and merit-based programmes to April 30.

The university urged candidates to exercise caution while filling out application forms, stressing the importance of selecting the correct programme and corresponding code. Officials warned against hurried submissions, noting that inaccuracies in course selection could affect eligibility and admission outcomes.

Clarifying the admission process, IP University said separate application pathways are in place for CET-based programmes, national-level tests, and merit-based admissions. Candidates have been advised to ensure they apply under the appropriate category. The application window for CET-based courses has already closed.

For the 2026 academic session, the university has expanded its academic portfolio with the introduction of 24 new courses. These include emerging and interdisciplinary programmes such as Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS), MTech in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, BTech in Computer Science Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science), and BSc in Clinical Psychology. New offerings also span areas like Industrial Chemistry, Physiotherapy, Packaging Technology (lateral entry), Mass Communication (weekend programme), and Teacher and Inclusive Education.

The university further reiterated that Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores will serve as a secondary admission channel. Seats that remain unfilled after allocations through the university’s entrance tests will be offered based on CUET merit.
