The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) has announced the Intermediate Public Examination (IPE) 2026 results for both first and second-year students, recording improved pass percentages and a continued lead by girls over boys.

Students can access their TS Inter 1st and 2nd year results and download marks memos from the official portals — tgbie.cgg.gov.in and results.cgg.gov.in — by entering their roll number and required credentials.

In the first year, 4,89,123 students appeared for the examination, of whom 3,23,807 cleared it, taking the overall pass percentage to 66.20%. Girls significantly outperformed boys, registering a pass percentage of 74.40%, compared to 57.69% among boys.

For the second year, 5,07,948 students took the exam, with 3,58,490 successfully passing, pushing the overall pass percentage to 70.58%. Girls again led the performance charts with a pass percentage of 78.65%, while boys recorded 62.50%.

Students must secure a minimum of 35% in both theory and practical components to pass. Those failing to meet this criterion will need to appear for compartment examinations.

Candidates seeking recounting or scanned copies of their answer scripts can apply online between April 13 and April 20 by paying the prescribed fee. The Intermediate Public Advanced Supplementary Examinations are scheduled to commence from May 13, 2026.

Students are advised to carefully verify details on their marks memo and report any discrepancies to their respective schools immediately.

The IPE March 2026 examinations were conducted from February 26 to March 18 in a single shift from 9 am to 12 noon across the state, with nearly 9.9 lakh students appearing.

For context, in 2025, the overall pass percentage stood at 71.27% for second-year students and 65.96% for first-year students. In 2024, pass rates were comparatively lower at 64.19% for second year and 60.01% for first year, indicating a gradual improvement in student performance over the years.
