The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to step into the
world of educational podcasts and digital content, aiming to provide students,
parents, and schools with accessible guidance on academics, examinations,
mental health, and overall well-being.
In a circular issued this week, the board
announced that the initiative will feature in-house podcasts and videos,
enriched with student participation to make the content more engaging and
relatable. These podcasts will also be available on public platforms such as
YouTube, widening their reach beyond classrooms.
To ensure a student-centric approach, CBSE
plans to integrate short audio and video interactions, testimonials, and
conversations contributed by students. The board believes that amplifying
student perspectives will make the material more authentic and impactful, while
also encouraging young learners to engage with broader educational discussions.
Affiliated schools have been asked to nominate
articulate and confident students from Classes IX to XII for participation.
Schools must submit names and brief profiles of interested students via a
Google form shared by CBSE, within ten days of the notice’s issuance.
Participation will remain voluntary, subject
to written consent from both students and their parents or guardians. The board
underscored that the effort is not mandatory but an optional platform designed
to give students a voice while strengthening CBSE’s outreach.
By merging digital innovation with student involvement, the board hopes to create a flexible, modern channel of communication that addresses both academic concerns and the growing need for mental health support among schoolchildren.
