New Delhi: The State Bank of India (SBI) has released the SBI Clerk Notification 2026 for recruitment to the post of Junior Associate (Customer Support and Sales). The online application process has started for 7,680 regular vacancies, and eligible candidates can submit their applications until August 31, 2026.

SBI Clerk Vacancy 2026

SBI has notified 7,680 regular Junior Associate vacancies across various circles. Among the major circles, Maharashtra/Mumbai Metro has the highest number of vacancies with 1,718 posts, followed by Chennai with 1,410, Bhubaneswar with 1,100, and Bengaluru with 760 vacancies.

The total regular vacancies are distributed across different categories, including SC, ST, OBC, EWS and General candidates.

SBI Clerk 2026: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the SBI Clerk recruitment must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.

The prescribed age limit is 20 to 28 years, as per the eligibility date specified by SBI. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be eligible for age relaxation as per applicable government rules.

Applicants must also fulfil the local language requirement prescribed for the state or Union Territory for which they are applying.

SBI Clerk 2026: Salary

According to the notification, the pay scale for Junior Associates is Rs 24,050 to Rs 64,480. The starting basic pay is Rs 26,730, which includes the basic pay of Rs 24,050 along with two advance increments applicable to graduates.

The selected candidates will also receive other benefits and allowances as applicable under SBI rules.
